NWHU Releases 2023 Annual Report: Celebrating Local Public Health
Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) has released its 2023 Annual Report, themed “Celebrating Local Public Health” in recognition of NWHU’s 75th anniversary. The milestone report highlights the organization’s key accomplishments over the past year, as well as its ongoing commitment to advancing public health in our communities.
In addition to showcasing program statistics from 2023, the report details NWHU’s progress in implementing its strategic plan. The report also highlights the work undertaken by the Board of Health and senior leadership to advocate for the region. The CEO and Medical Officer of Health reflect on NWHU’s seven-decade journey, emphasizing the important contributions and unwavering dedication of staff throughout local communities.
This year’s report introduces a new, interactive web-based format, enabling readers to engage with the content through embedded videos, interactive dashboards, and more. NWHU invites the public to explore the report and learn how public health initiatives have positively impacted the health and well-being of residents across the region.
