Youth now eligible for the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Eligibility for second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has expanded. Anyone who meets the criteria below should book an appointment for their second dose, including those aged 12-17 years old.

As Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) winds down their large-scale clinics, now is the time to get either your first or second dose of the vaccine. The following groups are eligible:

  • 1st Dose: Anyone aged 12 years or older
  • 2nd Dose: Anyone aged 12 years or older who:
    • had a first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least 21 days ago;
    • had a first dose of the Moderna vaccine at least 28 days ago;
    • had a first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine at least 56 days / 8 weeks ago.
