Public Health Alert – Changes to the Mandatory Blood Testing Act
Situation
On July 1, 2023, the Mandatory Blood Testing Act (MBTA) will be updated. With this update, any previous versions of forms relating to MBTA will need to be replaced with new forms. The use of old forms will result in delays and problems with proceeding with the action under the MBTA. For this reason, it is imperative that the new forms and processes are followed.
Actions requested
- Please remove and destroy all old forms pertaining to MBTA from emergency rooms and health care provider offices on June 30, 2023.
- Please access updated forms from the Ontario Ministry of Health website.
